Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions within our manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ISO, API, and TQM systems, proven leadership in managing teams, and a solid understanding of manufacturing quality standards and audit processes.
This role involves strategic oversight of all QA/QC operations, ensuring that every product meets internal standards and customer expectations through continuous process improvement and robust compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Team Management
Supervise, train, and guide QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and lab technicians.
Develop skill matrices and ensure continuous upskilling of quality team members.
Plan, schedule, and monitor daily inspection, testing, and calibration activities.
2. Quality Systems & Compliance
Oversee compliance with ISO 9001, API, and other relevant quality standards.
Maintain and update all quality procedures, work instructions, and manuals.
Prepare for and manage internal, customer, and third-party audits.
Ensure documentation and traceability of all inspection and calibration records.
3. Product Quality & Inspection
Monitor in-process and final inspections to ensure adherence to product specifications.
Validate testing operations against customer and accreditation requirements.
Lead initiatives to reduce non-conformities, scrap, and rework rates.
Ensure the calibration and verification of gauges, tools, and measurement systems.
4. Continuous Improvement & CAPA Management
Lead root cause analysis and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) initiatives.
Implement FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System) across operations.
Enhance internal audit systems and track closure of corrective actions.
Drive TQM and Lean manufacturing practices to achieve operational excellence.
5. Customer & Supplier Interaction
Act as a primary contact for all quality-related communications with clients, suppliers, and auditors.
Support customer complaint investigations and implement preventive measures.
Manage external quality and process audits, ensuring documentation accuracy and timely follow-ups.
6. Reporting & Analysis
Track and report key quality metrics such as defect rates, yield loss, rework, and customer satisfaction.
Present regular performance reviews and improvement plans to management.
Use data-driven insights to improve consistency and drive quality innovation.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
8–10 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
In-depth knowledge of ISO, API, TQM, TS, and related quality systems.
Strong process knowledge and analytical ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
