Job Description
As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the plant’s electrical systems and ensuring smooth functioning of equipment during your designated shift. This is a hands-on, technical role focused on preventive and breakdown maintenance in a manufacturing setup. The role demands high accountability in ensuring machinery uptime, electrical safety, and quick troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
– Monitor and manage electrical systems, panels, and automated machinery throughout the assigned shift.
– Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical infrastructure and control panels.
– Troubleshoot technical issues in PLC systems, wiring circuits, and machine connectivity.
– Coordinate with production and quality teams for resolving machine/equipment downtimes.
– Maintain logs of maintenance activities and incident reports.
– Ensure adherence to electrical safety and standard operating procedures.
– Support improvement initiatives related to automation and energy efficiency.
– Participate in shutdown or emergency maintenance activities as needed.
Required Skills:
– Proficiency in AutoCAD, PLC troubleshooting, and machine circuit wiring
– Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
– Good communication skills and ability to work in team environments
– Willingness to work in night/rotational shifts
– Commitment to safety standards and preventive maintenance routines
Experience Required: Minimum 2–3 years in maintenance or design departments
Industry Background: Manufacturing industry preferred
