Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Head Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our company in Sancoale. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership. As the Head Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and guiding the finance team to maintain accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and guide a team of accountants to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.
- Monthly/Annual Closing: Ensure the accurate and timely closing of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, and oversee the preparation and filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support business planning.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and ensure all necessary documentation is provided.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports on the financial health of the company.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
- Experience: 2-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, train, and develop a team of accountants.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies, and provide solutions in a timely manner.
