Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Production Manager with experience in the seafood industry to oversee and manage the production processes at our facility in Sancoale. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the production line, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading a team to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Management: Oversee the daily operations of the production team, ensuring timely production and maintaining quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate production staff, ensuring their tasks are carried out efficiently. Provide training and development opportunities.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously assess production processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to optimize productivity and reduce costs.
  • Quality Control: Monitor production quality and ensure that all products meet company standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ensuring raw materials and finished products are accurately tracked and stocked.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety procedures and guidelines are followed, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Report Generation: Prepare and present production reports, including daily output, quality checks, and any issues encountered during production.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Ensure all production machinery is maintained and in good working condition. Coordinate with maintenance teams for any necessary repairs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (such as logistics, sales, and procurement) to align production schedules with business needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in production management within the seafood industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Educational Qualification: Degree or diploma in Food Technology, Fisheries, or related field.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve production targets.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of seafood processing and production techniques.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve issues and challenges on the production floor quickly and effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality control, ensuring products meet set standards.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting and team coordination.
  • Knowledge of Compliance Standards: Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality certifications (e.g., FSSAI).
