Job Responsibilities
• Plan, organize and review Maintenance schedules, shift working and related
activities within the maintenance department.
• Advise on relevant Maintenance updating.
• Monitor and control maintenance standards with the department.
• Ensure that the department meets established budget requirements.
• Interview and select staff in conjunction with plant requirement.
• Ensure effective staff training is carried out and to control the discipline and
motivation of personnel within the department.
• Investigate and resolve technical problems in conjunction with
• Establish with production department agreed planned services.
• Advice contracted technical staff where appropriate.
• Control and minimize incidence of wastage within the department.
• Organize own work schedules and to be available when necessary to match
production requirements.
• Ensure that all company policies are fully implemented particularly hygiene,
health and safety.
• Review methods of operation and working practices and make recommendations
to management.
• To encourage harmonious working relationships and ensure effective
communication throughout the department.
• To review the maintenance staff on a yearly basis and advise of training needs.

Qualifications and experience:
 Experience with Quality Systems – ISO, TQM, TS, etc.
 Minimum 10 years of experience in the engineering/automotive industry
 Must have strong process knowledge
